Like the etched wooden floor in the preceding post, this English packhorse
bridge, which allowed people and livestock to cross Town Beck (a small tributary
of the River Wharfe) on the original parishioners' route to the
Addingham church,
has seen its share of footwork. Its heavy burdens now long forgotten, the stones
relax under the faint steps of passing walkers on the Dales Way.
